Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our highly automated Fulfilment Center team.

The role focuses on fault finding, troubleshooting and improving controls for automated handling equipment, with responsibility for training technicians on device troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. You will work as a site SME for controls systems, monitor equipment, and collaborate across EU networks to enhance data visualization and process improvements.

Qualifications

Experience with PLC controlled automation and fault diagnosis in continuous production.
Experience with material handling, conveyors, and visualization/monitoring.
Experience with PLC brands and controls platforms listed above.
Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

Be the site level SME for all controls systems and sensors; monitor, fault find and repair to maximise equipment availability.
Train technicians in basic control systems fault finding to raise site knowledge.
Collaborate in EU Controls network to monitor MHE metrics and provide data visualization.
Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects within the EU Automation network.
Coordinate with IT and Engineering teams to document systems and maintain backups.
Work with global teams to install and commission new equipment.
Support other EU sites as required.
