Job summary

Amazon UK is seeking a Senior RME Technician to lead reliability maintenance across our EU network. You will supervise shifts, monitor equipment health, implement upgrades, and drive continuous improvement to cut downtime and boost productivity at our fulfilment sites.

The role requires strong hands‑on skills in mechanical, electrical, and mechatronics, experience with CMMS and SCADA, and a proven ability to mentor technicians.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or completed a 4-year apprenticeship.
• Experience with automated conveyors systems, electrical/electronic principles and preventative maintenance.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Proven technical leadership in a multi-site environment.
• Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and monitor team adherence to processes.
• Track equipment performance via visual checks and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Supervise shift technicians and act as primary contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and improve packing speeds.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the EU network and standardise processes.
