Octopus Energy Germany GmbH is seeking a hands-on, results-driven qualified accountant to support the financial control team. You will automate financial processes, perform reconciliations, and drive month-end tasks while maintaining robust controls in a rapidly growing electric vehicle leasing business.

You will work on asset financing reconciliations, bank postings, balance sheet reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders and funders to embed lasting fixes.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a Finance team and with accounting software/data tools.
• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA credentials.
• Advanced Excel skills and data-driven mindset.

Aufgaben

• Identify and drive new processes to remove repetitive tasks and create efficiencies.
• Understand business needs and implement automation with AI where applicable.
• Perform reconciliations and resolve variances promptly.
• Month-end reporting including journals and financial analysis.
• Track and report on vehicles purchased with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Finance Operations to resolve reconciliation issues.
• Manage creditors and debtors ledgers and respond to payment queries.
