Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to troubleshoot and lead efforts across mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled processes in our UK facility. You will work to identify root causes, configure AB and Siemens PLCs and HMIs, and maintain the plant’s maintenance strategy in line with corporate standards.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance activities, coordinating with Process Engineers and IT, and educating mechanics to prevent downtime.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of automation experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI.
• Experience with AB PLCs, Siemens PLCs, and industrial networks.
• Food industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or computer-based faults.
• Maintain and implement factory maintenance strategies per standards.
• Configure and commission AB/Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance with process engineers and IT.
• Educate mechanics to reduce downtime.
