Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is recruiting a Controls Automation Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, automated logistics operation. You’ll diagnose complex faults, lead root-cause investigations and mentor other engineers to ensure peak performance across the site.

You’ll work on Siemens PLCs, SCADA, WMS/WCS integrations and core automation networks, supporting continuous improvement while maintaining safety and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Education to a minimum HNC level in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
• Experience in automated, manufacturing, production or logistics environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and engineering documentation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide technical leadership and guidance.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for automation and system performance on shift.
• Diagnose and resolve complex PLC, electrical, mechanical, electronic and network faults.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Use SCADA, WCS, WMS and data to identify trends and reliability improvements.
• Coordinate fault management between customer, Dematic and third-party providers.
• Manage PLC backups, version control, software changes and technical documentation.
• Coach and mentor engineers through fault-finding activities and support planned maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve reliability, availability, performance and throughput.
