Job summary

Automation Experts in Derbyshire is seeking a Trainer for Automation Control Systems to design and deliver hands-on training programs across PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and networking. You will develop manuals and practical workshops that enhance engineers' skills and problem-solving abilities.

Ideal candidates bring a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics and substantial experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Schneider systems, plus strong communication for effective teaching.

Qualifications

Engineer with hands-on automation and control experience.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMIs and industrial networks.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to teach and coach.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver training programs covering PLCs, SCADA, HMIs and automation systems.
Create training materials including manuals, presentations and practical workshops.
Deliver classroom and hands-on technical training sessions.
Train engineers on industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet and TCP/IP.
Assess trainee performance and provide coaching feedback.
Support troubleshooting and real-world problem-solving exercises.
Work with project teams to align training with operations and industry requirements.
Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.
