Job summary

Automation Experts is seeking two experienced Control Systems Engineers to work on bespoke industrial automation projects across Automotive, Food & Beverage, Aerospace and Pharmaceutical sectors. You will design and develop PLC software from first principles, program Siemens TIA Portal / S7 and Rockwell Studio 5000, and commission systems at customer sites across the UK.

The role involves testing, commissioning, documenting FDS and O&M information, and occasional travel with flexible/hybrid

Qualifications

Practical experience of control-system fault finding and site commissioning.
Experience producing clear technical documentation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Design and develop PLC software for bespoke automation systems.
Program Siemens TIA Portal / S7 and Rockwell Studio 5000.
Develop, test and commission safety-related control software.
Configure and commission VFDs, servo drives, motion systems and fieldbus networks.
Read electrical drawings and IO schedules, test documentation, O&M info.
Support site commissioning and customer handover across the UK.
