AWD Recruitment in the UK is seeking a Control Systems Engineer / PLC Programmer to join a growing automation business delivering high-performance electrical control solutions across the UK and Europe.

This varied role covers design, implementation and support of control systems, PLC/HMI/SCADA, and on-site activities with UK travel; based in Stoke-on-Trent or Deeside. Salary £55,000–£70,000 plus overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Higher education qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial automation sector.
• Experience with PLC programming using major platforms.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA software such as Wonderware or FactoryTalk View.
• Strong knowledge of control system design and development.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support control systems for various electrical applications.
• Develop and support PLC solutions using major platforms.
• HMI/SCADA software development and support.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Provide on-site support across the UK.
