Job summary

XtalPi Inc. in Shanghai seeks overseas PhD talent in Chemistry to join the Future Chemistry Division. This role blends synthetic chemistry expertise with cutting‑edge automation and AI technologies, shaping intelligent chemical research and development.

Design and implement automated synthesis plans, work with AI teams, and help scale platform throughput while ensuring data integrity and project success.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related disciplines; able to independently design and conduct synthesis experiments.
• Strong project management, coordination skills, and teamwork; interested in automation.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English; able to operate in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Believe in and promote automation and intelligent technologies in chemical synthesis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop synthesis plans based on project requirements and automated synthesis tasks.
• Collaborate with Computational Chemistry and AI R&D teams to optimize plans using algorithm predictions.
• Upgrade and iterate automated synthesis platforms; propose improvements to boost throughput and stability.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs and experimental reports for standardized documentation.
• Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of automated synthesis platforms for efficiency and quality.
• Manage projects, communicate with clients, and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Identify environmental hazards and implement control measures as required.
