Job summary

XtalPi Inc. in Shanghai seeks overseas PhD talent in Chemistry to join the Future Chemistry Division. This role combines synthetic chemistry expertise with automation and AI technologies to shape the future of intelligent chemical research and development.

You design synthesis plans, oversee automated delivery, and collaborate with Computational Chemistry and AI R&D teams to improve plan accuracy and platform throughput. You will document procedures and participate in platform upgrades.

Qualifications

• PhD or higher in Chemistry or related fields; capable of independently designing and conducting synthesis experiments.
• Strong project management and coordination skills; interested in automation within the industry.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; able to adapt to a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Promotes automation and intelligent technologies in chemical synthesis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop synthesis plans based on project requirements and complete automated synthesis tasks with data integrity.
• Collaborate with Computational Chemistry and AI R&D teams to optimize experimental plans based on algorithm predictions.
• Participate in upgrade and iteration of automated synthesis platforms and improve throughput and stability.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs and experimental reports for standardization and reusability of documentation.
• Operate and optimize automated synthesis platforms to ensure synthesis efficiency and quality.
• Manage projects, communicate with clients, and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Assess environmental factors and implement control measures as needed.
