Job summary

Halfords is offering a Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship in Staines-upon-Thames. You will work in Halfords Garage Services, learning to diagnose faults, service vehicles and gain hands-on experience across a range of cars, including modern tech.

As an apprentice, you will be mentored, receive accredited qualifications, and progress towards Level 3. Training combines virtual sessions and face-to-face weeks at a dedicated centre, with travel and meals covered.

Responsibilities

• Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working.
• Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined.
• Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection.
• Maintenance of electronic systems including onboard entertainment systems.
• Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records.
• Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment.
