Job summary

Halfords is offering an Autocare Technician Level 2 apprenticeship across the UK. The programme covers MOT, servicing and repairs, and includes hands-on training with a range of traditional, hybrid and electronic engines.

Apprentices will learn through a mix of virtual classes and face-to-face weeks at a modern training centre, with travel, accommodation, and meals covered for training sessions. You will be mentored in the workplace by a dedicated mentor, gaining professional apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working.
• Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined.
• Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection.
• Maintenance of electronic systems including on-board entertainment systems.
• Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records.
• Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment.
