Job summary

Halfords is offering an Autocare Technician Apprentice programme (Level 2) at multiple garages across the UK. You’ll learn to diagnose faults, service vehicles, and progressively gain qualifications through a structured training pathway.

You’ll receive a full toolkit, uniform, and boots, with travel and accommodation covered for training blocks. A mentor supports you in the workshop, leading to a permanent role on successful completion.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship programme to develop Autocare Technician skills.
• Level 2 Autocare Technician qualification will be earned on completion.
• In-house and external trainer support provided during the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to inspect critical vehicle components.
• Carry out bumper-to-bumper service and inspections.
• Maintain electronic systems including in-car entertainment.
• Complete accurate paperwork for customers and centres.
• Keep the workspace clean and tidy at all times.
