Job summary

Halfords in the United Kingdom is offering an Autocare Technician/Mechanic apprenticeship. You will learn through a mix of virtual classroom remote learning and face-to-face block release weeks at our training centre, supported by a dedicated mentor in your garage.

On completion, you'll gain Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Autocare Technician, along with brand certifications and progression toward Level 3. Travel, accommodation and meals are fully covered during training.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship pathway into Autocare Technician/Mechanic.
• Willingness to travel to a training facility; costs covered.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to inspect critical vehicle parts.
• Carry out bumper-to-bumper service and inspection.
• Maintain electronic systems including on-board entertainment.
• Complete legible paperwork for customers and centre records.
• Keep workspace clean and tidy.
