Job summary

Halfords Hartlepool offers an Autocare Technician Apprenticeship. This Level 2 programme combines hands-on work in our service department with structured training at a dedicated centre, covering diagnostics, servicing and repair of a range of vehicles.

Successful apprentices will gain Level 2 Autocare Technician qualification, travel to training facilities, receive a full Halfords toolkit, and progress toward further certifications, with the potential for a permanent role upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to inspect critical parts of vehicles.
• Carry out bumper to bumper service and inspections.
• Maintain electronic systems including on-board entertainment systems.
• Complete legible paperwork for customers and centres records.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
