Qualifications

• Qualifications in education, SEN, childcare, youth work or support work.
• Proven experience supporting children or young people with autism.
• Understanding of autism, sensory needs and structured approaches such as TEACCH.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with autism to access learning and participate in daily classroom routines.
• Implement personalised strategies, visual supports and communication systems (e.g. PECS, Makaton).
• Promote social interaction, independence and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to provide a consistent support approach.
