We are working closely with a supportive school in South London who are seeking an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), who is patient, nurturing and confident in using tailored strategies to support learning and emotional regulation.
Providing dedicated one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism
Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
Implementing individual education plans and personalised strategies
Supporting sensory needs and positive behaviour approaches
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists
Promoting independence, confidence and inclusion
Has experience supporting children with autism in a school or care setting
Is calm, empathetic and resilient
Has knowledge of strategies such as visual supports, sensory regulation or PECS
Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team
