Remedy Education is partnering with a specialist school in South London to recruit an Autism Support Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time position. The role involves one-to-one and small group work to support pupils with autism, with a focus on communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.

Autism Support Teaching Assistant

We are working closely with a supportive school in South London who are seeking an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), who is patient, nurturing and confident in using tailored strategies to support learning and emotional regulation.

The role:

• Providing dedicated one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism

• Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation

• Implementing individual education plans and personalised strategies

• Supporting sensory needs and positive behaviour approaches

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists

• Promoting independence, confidence and inclusion
