Job summary

Milk Education is seeking caring Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Stockport and Tameside from September.

We welcome candidates with experience supporting children with autism, ASC or SEND, across mainstream and specialist settings. Roles include long-term, short-term, part-time, full-time, temporary or permanent positions starting in September.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism, ASC or SEND.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEND TA, Autism Support Worker or similar.
• A good understanding of autism and individual differences in communication, behaviour and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with autism and SEND
• Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
• Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs
• Use positive behaviour strategies to support engagement and learning
• Help pupils develop independence, confidence and social skills
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff
• Follow individual support plans and contribute to pupil progress

Milk Education is seeking caring, patient and dedicated Autism Support Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Stockport and Tameside from September.

We're looking to connect with experienced Teaching Assistants, SEND professionals and support workers who are confident supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional needs.

Our schools may include both mainstream and specialist settings, supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, communication difficulties, sensory needs, SEMH and complex learning needs.
