Autism Teaching Assistant – Full Time

The Role

We’re recruiting a dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school team in Liverpool. You’ll work closely with pupils aged 5–16 with autism and complex needs, supporting their learning, emotional regulation, and social development. This is a full‑time role, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, nurturing environment and is confident delivering 1:1 and small‑group interventions.

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism
  • Strong understanding of sensory needs, communication strategies, and positive behaviour support
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and adapt to individual pupil profiles
  • Team player with resilience, empathy, and a proactive mindset
  • Experience in school, care, or community settings with neurodiverse children
