Senploy partners with a supportive school in South London to recruit an Autism Support Teaching Assistant for a long-term opportunity. The role involves one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism, helping with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.

The ideal candidate is patient, calm and resilient, with knowledge of strategies such as visual supports, sensory regulation or PECS, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with autism in school or care setting.
• Calm, empathetic and resilient.
• Knowledge of strategies such as visual supports, sensory regulation or PECS.

Responsabilités

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism.
• Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Implement individual education plans and personalised strategies.
• Support sensory needs and positive behaviour approaches.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists.
• Promote independence, confidence and inclusion.
