Job summary

Randstad Staffing in Lingfield is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant / Autism Support Worker for a full-time, permanent role. Term-time hours are 08:30–16:00, with an ASAP start and notice periods respected.

The role offers substantial progression, with fully funded training, on-site meals, and a strong team atmosphere. A compassionate, patient approach is essential in supporting students with complex needs.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at pass grade (Grade C/4 or equivalent).
• Right to work in the UK is essential.
• Experience in care, childcare, education or SEN.
• Confidence in supporting group activities across different educational subjects and engaging learners.

Responsibilities

• Supporting complex SEN learners on a 1:1 and small group basis throughout the day.
• Enabling students to access the curriculum while supporting their pastoral and emotional needs.
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom prep, and maintaining a smooth learning environment.
• Supervising pupils during break times and lunchtimes to promote social interaction.
