Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd are recruiting an Autism Support Assistant for a specialist school in Newton Aycliffe. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to learners with autism and additional needs, helping them access tailored learning plans and participate in class activities.

The role is full-time on a long-term temporary basis with potential for permanency for the right candidate; start September or ASAP.

Autism Support Assistant

Veritas Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to work full-time on a long-term temporary basis. You will play a key role in supporting students with autism in both classroom and wider school settings. For the right candidate, there is clear scope for this position to become permanent, allowing you to build a long-term career within a highly supportive and forward-thinking school.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners with autism

  • Assist with the delivery of tailored learning plans

We are ideally looking for candidates who:

Requirements


  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one - we can support with this)

  • Commitment to a full-time, long-term role
