Cover People, on behalf of a specialist secondary school in Oldham, is seeking a Secondary SEND Teacher Autism to start in September 2026. This full-time, long-term role offers potential permanency, with 5 days a week and a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver well-structured, engaging lessons for pupils with Autism.
• Plan differentiated activities supporting academic progress and personal development.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews.
• Establish a calm, structured, inclusive classroom environment.
• Work with Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff and therapists for consistent support.
• Encourage pupil confidence, communication, independence and relationships.
