Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Perry Barr area. This full-time role supports Reception and Year 1 pupils with autism and a range of additional needs, within a specialist SEND provision.

You will work as part of an established team with the Class Teacher and another SEND Teaching Assistant, supporting learning, communication, social development and emotional needs. No personal care required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of Autism and how it presents in class.
• Ability to work full-time, five days per week and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning, communication, social development and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with the Class Teacher and another SEND TA as part of the team.
• Adapt approaches to meet each child's needs; no personal care required.
