Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a Bromley-based SEND school. The role focuses on autism, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive learning environment.

You will provide individual and group support, assist with IEPs and BSPs, and collaborate with parents and professionals to foster student development. A commitment to inclusivity and CPD training is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and professionals.
• Ability to remain patient, empathetic and dedicated to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support to students with autism, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teaching team, parents and external professionals to support holistic development of each student.
