Job summary

The John Roan School in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Support Assistant for the Centre for Autism. You will work with the Centre head and inclusion team to support individual or small groups of students, helping to ensure safety and to support their emotional and educational development.

We value flexible, caring and non-judgemental approaches and will support staff development, including enrolment on the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship once appointed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with behavioural issues.
• Willingness to enrol on Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
• Ability to work with a range of students in an autism-centred setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre for Autism under the Head of Centre and inclusion team.
• Undertake activities with individuals or groups to ensure safety and facilitate emotional and educational development.
