Job summary

Orbis Education and Care Ltd is seeking a female Support Worker for Llun Y Mynydd, a tranquil residence near Abergavenny, Wales. You will provide person-centred support to individuals with autism, helping with daily living, activities and social participation.

The role is full-time, 45.5 hours weekly (days) and 30 hours nights, with a salary £13.45–£13.75 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience. Enhanced DBS required and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Clear demonstration of caring nature and ability to support individuals with autism.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
• Resilience and patience when faced with challenges and adapting to needs.
• Willingness to learn and follow team guidance.
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
• Full UK driving licence required for transport to appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individuals’ needs.
• Assist individuals in participating in activities, hobbies and social interactions.
• Support daily living tasks and personal care to ensure comfort and wellbeing.
• Promote independence and help individuals achieve goals.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to implement personalised care plans.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment for all individuals.
