Job summary

Walsingham Support is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a woman living in her own home in Wales. This female-only role focuses on consistent routines, independence, and building trust through person-centred support.

The role includes shift patterns from 08:00–20:00, 08:00–14:00, 14:00–20:00, and waking nights, with a full UK driving licence being essential.

£13.45 per hour; training provided; part-time or bank contracts available.

Qualifications

• Calm, patient and reliable approach.
• Appreciation of routines and consistency.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently during lone-working shifts.
• Professional when working with involved family members.
• Experience supporting people with autism desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs.
• Maintain established routines and support a structured daily schedule.
• Build trusting and positive relationships with the individual and family members.
• Support with daily living tasks and community activities.
• Promote independence, wellbeing and emotional reassurance.
• Work professionally and collaboratively with family members and other professionals involved in the individual's support.
