Job summary

Teaching Personnel Sheffield are looking for an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join the workforce of a specialist school in Sheffield.

You will provide 1-2-1 support to students with autism and other needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and working with staff to help pupils reach their full potential. The role offers £95-110 daily pay, permanent contracts, and both full-time and part-time options, with opportunities for psychology students and graduates to apply.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, young people or adults with special educational needs.
  • Compassionate and patient character.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviours.
  • Driving licence is preferred but not required if you have adequate travel arrangements.
