Authorising Engineer - HV (Remote)

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Authorising Engineer, you’ll work alongside the Directors to oversee and evolve the company’s System Safety Rules (SSR), playing a pivotal role across all operational departments. You won’t just manage procedures – you’ll shape how electrical safety is lived and led throughout the business.

Your role will include:

1. Auditing safety documents and switching schedules
2. Reviewing, drafting, and owning safety and operational procedures
3. Leading competency assessments and onboarding new team members
4. Acting as a trusted point of contact for operational queries
5. Supporting investigations and continuous improvement across operations
6. Liaising with the HSEQ team and keeping abreast of industry developments

Up to £60,000 basic salary, depending on experience

What We’re Looking For

• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, ideally in Power Distribution
• Experience in Private Networks or Renewable Energy is a big plus
• Deep understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
• Clear communicator with strong planning and decision-making skills
• Someone who thrives on doing things properly—and helping others do the same
