Job summary

ACCA Careers in Cheshire is seeking an experienced Audit Senior Manager to lead a portfolio of audit and audit/accounts clients, from planning through to completion, and to mentor junior staff.

The role provides a clearly defined path to Responsible Individual status and fast-track progression toward Partnership. ACA or ACCA qualified candidates with substantial practice experience and strong leadership are invited to base themselves at the Nantwich office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and audit/accounts clients across various sectors.

• Coach and develop junior team members.
• Support business development initiatives and identify growth opportunities.
• Contribute to strategic decision-making within the firm.

Key responsibilities of the Audit Senior Manager:

• Managing a portfolio of audit and audit/accounts clients across a range of sectors.
• Leading audits from planning through to completion.
• Reviewing statutory accounts, audit files, and associated client work.
• Building strong and lasting client relationships.
• Providing practical, commercial advice to owner-managed businesses.
• Managing, coaching, and developing junior team members.
• Supporting business development initiatives and identifying growth opportunities.
• Contributing to strategic decision-making within the firm.

Profile

• Be ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Have substantial experience within an accountancy practice environment.
• Have either:
• A predominantly audit background; or
• Experience across both audit and accounts.
• Possess strong technical and client-facing skills.
• Have experience managing teams and reviewing work.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and leadership potential.
• Be motivated by the opportunity to progress to RI and Partnership level.
• Able to work from the firms Nantwich office.
