Job summary

Protalent in Brighton is seeking an Audit Senior / Assistant Manager to join a mid-sized practice with the resources of a national group. The role blends hands-on audit work with client-facing responsibilities, offering a platform for progression beyond seniority.

You will manage audits end-to-end, review junior staff, and participate in accounts preparation where interest exists. Hybrid working and a clear path to Manager are highlighted in the role.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA or very close to it.
• Solid UK practice audit experience with ownership of files.
• Willingness to step up to Assistant Manager or already in that role.

Responsibilities

• Plan, run and complete audits from start to finish.
• Handle a mixed portfolio across owner-managed businesses, charities and not-for-profits.
• Review work of semi-seniors and juniors, coaching them rather than just correcting it.
• Work directly with clients throughout the year, not only at fieldwork.
• Involvement in accounts preparation alongside audit work if interested.
