Job summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a well established independent accountancy practice in Brighton with the recruitment of a Senior Audit & Accounts Accountant. The role offers a hands-on mix of audit and accounts work across a varied client portfolio, with opportunity to progress within a supportive, collaborative firm.

You will plan and deliver statutory audits, prepare financial statements and tax returns, mentor junior staff and build strong client relationships in a flexible hybrid environment

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Approximately one year of post qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience delivering statutory audits across a varied client base.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and self assessment tax returns.
• Good technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and auditing principles.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and confidence building client relationships.
• Previous experience supporting or supervising junior staff would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver statutory audit assignments in accordance with auditing standards and firm methodologies.
• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies and complete corporation tax/self assessment returns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client portfolio and respond to client queries.
• Support, coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
