Job summary

Pro-Finance is recruiting an Audit Manager in Northallerton to lead a diverse portfolio of audit engagements from planning to completion. The role offers responsibility for delivering high-quality client service in a collaborative, Top 20 practice environment.

  • Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients from SMEs through to larger businesses.
  • Exposure to general practice work, including statutory accounts preparation.
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Ambitious mindset with a desire to progress within a leading accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of audit clients, ranging from SMEs to larger, more complex organisations.
  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Working closely with audit partners to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Managing audit budgets, timelines and resource planning.
  • Reviewing audit work and ensuring compliance with auditing standards and firm procedures.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
  • Supporting the delivery of statutory accounts and general practice work where required.
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and providing proactive advice to clients.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing junior members of the audit team.
  • Supporting partners with client development and the continued growth of the audit department.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Manager to join a highly regarded Top 20 accountancy practice. What you will be doing as an Audit Manager

As an Audit Manager, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, ensuring audit engagements are delivered efficiently, on time and to the highest professional standards.

  • Managing a portfolio of audit clients, ranging from SMEs to larger, more complex organisations.
  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Working closely with audit partners to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Managing audit budgets, timelines and resource planning.
