Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Audit Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of clients in the Greater Manchester area. You will manage audits from planning to completion, mentor junior staff and work closely with Partners to uphold high service standards.

Qualified ACA or ACCA with strong UK auditing knowledge is essential. You will operate in a hybrid environment with a focus on growth and client relationship development.

An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified audit professional looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and supportive firm. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, and play a key role in developing and mentoring junior team members.

Working closely with Partners and senior stakeholders, you will be instrumental in maintaining high service standards while contributing to the ongoing growth of the audit function.

Description

• Managing a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors
• Leading audit assignments from planning through to final sign-off
• Reviewing audit files and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Identifying audit risks and providing practical solutions
• Managing budgets, timelines, and engagement profitability
• Supporting, coaching, and developing junior members of the team
• Working alongside senior leadership on business development initiatives and strategic projects

Profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Previous experience managing audits within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and financial reporting standards
• Demonstrable experience supervising and developing staff
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client service
