Job summary

Sharp Consultancy seeks an experienced External Audit Manager for our Leeds office. You will manage a portfolio of important clients, including AIM-listed entities and privately owned businesses, serving as the primary technical advisor.

You will lead audits from planning to execution, mentor graduates and trainees, and contribute to client development and firm growth while upholding the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in plc statutory financial audits (AIM or main market).
• Strong project management skills for a sizeable audit portfolio.
• Fully qualified ACA/CA/ACCA from a quality firm of accountants; national firm status not required.
• Demonstrated ability and ambition to progress to senior manager and beyond, based on merit.

New business growth has led to an opening for an experienced external audit manager to join their offices in Leeds.

Role Overview

As an Audit Manager, you will contribute significantly to relationship management of a portfolio of important clients, both listed (predominantly AIM-listed) and privately owned. You will often be the first point of call on technical and other queries, offering general advice where appropriate.

• Ensure audits are planned and executed to the highest standards.
• Manage billing and recoveries, and negotiate certain fees.
• Coach and manage graduate trainees and part-qualified accountants to support their career development.
• Contribute to marketing and business development activities of the office, especially with existing clients.

Required Qualifications

• Plc statutory financial audit experience (AIM or main market).
