Job summary

RSM UK is recruiting for its External Audit graduate programme. You will work with audit colleagues to conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls, ensuring accuracy of financial statements and building stakeholder trust.

You’ll begin studying for the Chartered Accountant qualification from day one, with exams in the initial months. You’ll join a supportive team and gain exposure to a diverse client base, including owner-managed and large listed firms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 112 UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification), or 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Obtained/predicted honours degree.
• Existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely with team members and clients.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build relationships and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Becoming a key member of our team from day one, getting involved in client work quickly, initially as part of a larger team before taking on individual responsibility for projects.
• Work with audit colleagues to conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls.
• Help ensure the accuracy of financial statements and build trust and confidence among stakeholders.
• Start studying towards Chartered Accountant qualification and take exams within the first months; support will be provided throughout.
