Job summary

Page Personnel is representing a growing, advisory-led practice in South Wales seeking an experienced Audit Director to lead client engagements and develop teams. You will shape the firm’s audit strategy while maintaining high-quality delivery to entrepreneurial businesses and SMEs.

You’ll oversee multiple engagements, drive risk management and compliance, and work closely with leadership on growth and service development. Hybrid working and a clear leadership path are on offer.

Qualifications

• Significant audit and assurance experience in UK accountancy practice.
• Proven track record managing large audit portfolios and complex engagements.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, Companies Act and ISAs.
• Experience in audit quality control, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, mentoring managers.
• Excellent relationship management with owners, boards and senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded with understanding of practice management and growth.
• RI status or path to RI status would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the firm’s audit function.
• Oversee a substantial portfolio of clients and complex engagements.
• Drive audit quality, compliance and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and develop senior staff, including Managers and Senior Managers.
• Develop client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Contribute to commercial success and strategic direction of the practice.
