W Talent Finance is partnering with a well-established accountancy and professional services firm to appoint an Audit Director in Sheffield. You will lead the audit and assurance service line, shaping strategy and ensuring high-quality delivery across a diverse client portfolio.

The role offers a high-profile leadership position with opportunities to develop talent, drive growth, and strengthen client relationships within a respected regional practice in the UK.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with significant UK practice experience.
• Proven leadership within an audit environment.
• Experience at Director/Senior Manager level.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting/auditing standards.
• Experience managing complex portfolios and senior client relationships.
• Commercial acumen with client service focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across the audit and assurance function.
• Lead growth and development of the audit service line.
• Manage a portfolio of key audit clients across sectors.
• Maintain relationships with business owners, directors and seniors.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality audit assignments.
• Support business development including tenders and proposals.
• Mentor and develop audit managers and teams.
• Drive improvements in audit quality and processes.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategy and growth.
