Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the UK is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager (SN2) to take the lead on mid-market audits from planning through to completion. You will supervise staff, manage client communications, and ensure timely, high-quality audit services.

You will apply UK GAAP/FRS 102, IFRS and the Companies Act, coaching juniors, monitoring budgets, and contributing to firm initiatives in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• ACA/CA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
• Experience leading external audits for mid-market/SMEs.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102, IFRS and the Companies Act.

Responsibilities

• Audit Delivery – manage mid-market audits from planning through to completion.
• Planning & Organisation – develop audit strategies and scoping plans.
• Technical Application – apply UK GAAP/FRS 102, IFRS and Companies Act.
• Review & Reporting – draft sections of audit outputs for review.
• Team Support – lead and supervise audit staff during fieldwork.
• Quality & Compliance – ensure files meet quality and risk standards.
• Client Relationships – act as day-to-day client contact and build trust.
• Budget & Collaboration – monitor time against budget; contribute to firm initiatives.
