Job summary

RSM UK is offering an External Audit school/college leaver apprenticeship, with on-the-job audit work and structured training toward Chartered Accountant qualification. You’ll join audit teams to review client records, build confidence in financial statements, and begin exams within a few months.

The programme blends client exposure with a tailored development path and access to online learning. Start date 14 September 2027, with early responsibilities and progression toward professional

Qualifications

• A minimum of 112 UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent), 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and stay calm under pressure.
• Genuine interest in business and commerce with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
• Note: General Studies, AS levels or EPQ not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Work with audit colleagues to conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Contribute to ensuring accuracy of financial statements and stakeholder confidence.
• Start studying towards Chartered Accountant qualification and begin exams within months.
