Job summary

RSM UK offers an External Audit apprenticeship for school/college leavers. You will work with audit colleagues on risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls, contributing to accurate financial statements and stakeholder trust.

You’ll start studying towards the Chartered Accountant qualification as soon as you join, taking exams in the first months. You’ll be supported every step of the way.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 112 UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification).
• 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely with team members and clients.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and stay calm under pressure.
• Genuine interest in business and commerce with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Help ensure the accuracy of financial statements and build trust among stakeholders.
• Start studying towards Chartered Accountant qualification on joining; exams within the first months.
• Join the team from day one and progress to independent project responsibilities.
