Job summary

RSM UK invites school leavers to join its External Audit apprenticeship, building a solid foundation while studying toward the Chartered Accountant qualification. You’ll work closely with audit colleagues to review clients' financial records and controls, helping ensure accuracy and stakeholder confidence.

From day one you’ll be embedded in a team, take on real client work, and access a tailored development programme and online learning to support your progression into a qualified professional.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 112 UCAS points across three A levels, or 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to support audit decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work with audit colleagues to conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls.
• Start studying toward Chartered Accountant qualification as soon as you join, with first exams in early months.
• Become an active team member on client work and progress to independent responsibility over time.
