Job summary

RSM UK in Reading invites school/college leavers to join an External Audit apprenticeship. You’ll work with audit colleagues to conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls, contributing to the accuracy of financial statements from day one.

You’ll start studying toward the Chartered Accountant qualification soon after joining, with first exams in the initial months. The programme blends on-the-job learning with structured training.

Qualifications

• Minimum UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent) or Irish Leaving Certificate.
• UK work eligibility for this role.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey information clearly.
• Ability to analyse data and interpret results to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong organisational ability.

Responsibilities

• Work with audit colleagues on risk-focused reviews of client financial records, processes and controls.
• Join projects quickly and progress to taking on individual responsibility.
• Travel to client sites and other offices as required.
