Job summary

Capita is seeking an Audit and Assurance Lead to drive internal audits, assurance reviews and governance improvements across the organisation. You will turn complex findings into actionable recommendations for senior leaders and regulators, strengthening the control environment.

This permanent hybrid role in Warminster requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level, with 2–3 days on site. You'll build relationships, oversee action tracking and deliver high-quality reports and

  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex information and identify risks.
  • Highly developed report-writing and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assurance activities concurrently.
  • Ability to influence, challenge, and advise at all levels of the organisation.
  • High levels of integrity, objectivity, and professional judgement.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and governance bodies.

Job description

Provide the insight, assurance and challenge that helps leaders make confident decisions and drives continuous improvement across the organisation. As an Audit Assurance Lead, you'll play a key role in strengthening governance, managing risk and driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Leading audit and assurance activity, you'll provide independent insight into the effectiveness of processes, controls and compliance arrangements, helping ensure the business meets its regulatory, contractual and policy obligations. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you'll turn complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations that support informed decision‑making, improve performance and build confidence in the organisation's control environment.

Permanent role - 37.5 hours a week

Hybrid role with 2 or 3 days a week in Warminster

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level.
