Boston Spa Academy is seeking an Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our pastoral team. The role focuses on promoting excellent attendance and punctuality, removing barriers to attendance, and ensuring every student can reach their potential.

The successful candidate will work with students, families, pastoral leaders, and external agencies. The ideal candidate will have a driving licence, experience with young people in a secondary school setting, and strong communication skills.

Qualificações

• Experience working with young people in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and external agencies.
• Understanding of attendance processes and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor student attendance and punctuality data to identify issues.
• Support intervention strategies to remove barriers to attendance.
• Conduct home visits when required and engage families to improve outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support student wellbeing and attendance.
• Collaborate with pastoral leaders and external agencies to promote attendance.
