Job summary

City of Derby Academy is seeking an Attendance Officer to monitor and improve student attendance and punctuality. You will work closely with students, families, staff and external partners to identify concerns and implement interventions, supporting pupil welfare and statutory attendance compliance.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on safeguarding and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in school, attendance, pastoral or welfare settings is advantageous.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities.
• Ability to monitor attendance data and identify early indicators of absence.
