Job summary

The Colne Community School in Tendring, Essex, is seeking an Assistant Attendance Officer and Internal Reflection Room Supervisor to join our Pastoral and Attendance teams on a part-time basis.

This role focuses on monitoring student absences, notifying parents, mentoring students on behaviour, and ensuring work set by teachers is communicated. The school values aspiration, resilience and kindness within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Understanding of and ability to implement the school's behaviour management policy.
• Remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student absence patterns.
• Issue all absence notifications to parents/carers and monitor and record responses.
• To mentor students so they reflect on their behaviour.
• Communicate work set by the teacher to the students, responding to any questions from them about process and procedures.
