Job summary

The Colne Community School, part of The Sigma Trust, is seeking an Assistant Attendance Officer and Internal Reflection Room Supervisor to join the Pastoral and Attendance teams in Colchester. The role is 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, with duties spanning attendance, student welfare and behaviour support.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) and the ability to maintain composure under pressure while promoting a positive school culture.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Colne Community School For an Assistant Attendance Officer and Internal Reflection Room Supervisor to join our Pastoral and Attendance teams.

This role is 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time plus one day during the school closure periods)

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16:00pm and Fridays 08:00am to 15:30pm.

A Day in the Life:

You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

• Monitor student absence patterns.
• Issue all absence notifications to parents/carers and monitor and record responses.
• To mentor students so they reflect on their behaviour.
• Communicate work set by the teacher to the students, responding to any questions from them about process and procedures.
