Job summary

Southport Education Group is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to support learner attendance across the organisation. You will monitor and improve attendance, communicate with parents and carers, and work with curriculum teams to address barriers to engagement.

The role covers all 16–18 learners at Southport College and KGV Sixth Form College, with a focus on timely intervention, data monitoring and safeguarding responsibilities. Term-time post, with DBS checks applied.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve learner attendance across the organisation.
• Contact absent learners and coordinate with parents/carers to remove barriers to engagement.
• Work with curriculum teams and student services to address attendance concerns promptly and in line with policies.
